Santa Pola looked best again with F4 onshore predicted between 2 and 5pm. No wind and nobody out when I turned up but decided to rig big and baggy anyway. Lucky I did as at 2.30 the wind came up gradually to a steady 4. Conditions like last Sat but no overpower, no spin-out and more swell, so an hour and a half was spent happily planing, riding swell and ditching most gybes as per usual before the cloud came in and the wind dropped. I had the bay pretty much to myself as others missed that window and got on the water to catch the last few minutes. Just goes to show that if you turn up you may as well rig up. There was someone having a good laugh on a sand board and small sail... must try that out.
